Northport Lodge is the primary housing facility for the Redeemed Living Transitions ministry. At its max it will house 8 ladies and a house mom. Northport was dedicated in October of 2023. It is designed to help individuals transition from an addiction recovery rehabilitation center to productive living in society. This ministry is a discipleship ministry intended to grow individuals in faith as they seek this transition. Individuals will be trained in spiritual disciplines as well as help in discovering God’s call on their lives. This ministry provides accountability in four main areas.

1. Facility/Home Stewardship

2. Personal care and finance

3. Work ethic and career pursuit

4. Spiritual growth, faith, and practice.

Individuals that enter this ministry will be provided housing and potentially a job. Everyone will be worked with on an individual case-by-case basis with the intent to equip them for self-sustainment in the areas of home and career in the light of their relationship with God and calling to His purpose.

Mission Statement

Northport Lodge Transitional House for Women (NPL) is not a half-way house or sober-living house as traditionally perceived. NPL is intended to assist women, post addition recovery treatment, and with housing and employment to re-establish them in society. NPL is not intended to be a permanent residence. One’s stay at NPL is intended to be short-term, lasting no longer than 2 years unless for special circumstances. NPL differs from other facilities by also requiring accountability in the areas of faith and church involvement, personal care and finance, and facility stewardship. NPL is a ministry, first. Housing and employment are a provision of that ministry’s intent. NPL operates under the Meridzo Center Inc. umbrella and will maintain a high standard of integrity and operation which mirrors Meridzo Center Inc.

Meet our “House Mom”

Octavia Taylor is a graduate of ARC (Addition Recovery Cares). God send Octavia to us in early 2023 through Lydia’s House. Once you meet this spunky, God-fearing lady you will fall in love. Octavia guides each lady through her journey back to a life outside of a structured program. She transports ladies to doctors’ appointments, recovery meetings, work, and other appointments. She conducts house meetings, step studies, and arranges all household duties. She helps ladies with probation and court appearances. She helps them obtain medical cards, all forms of ID (social security cards, drivers licenses, etc), food stamps, and anything else they need.
